FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Artist, Xandriss, Offers Prize to Puzzle Solvers

Mesa, AZ

Mesa artist, Xandriss announced today that she will give a prize to anyone who solves the puzzle of her newest mural, “Waltzing in the Superstitions”. The 8 foot wide painting is made from a single continuous line that goes throughout the entire work and never crosses itself.  Xandriss challenges viewers to find the two ends of the line and offers a hint that one end is marked with an ‘X’ which alludes to the historical treasure hunting of the Superstition Wilderness area.  Participants who contact the artist with the correct answer will win a prize of a free black and white art print of their choice from the artist’s online store.

The mural is on public view at the Marshall Square Galleries complex in Scottsdale, AZ until October 2016.  7077 E. Main St. Scottsdale, AZ 85251.  Xandriss is one of four artists chosen to do a public artwork with the theme of “the West” at this location as part of IN FLUX Cycle 6.

IN FLUX is a public art program through Scottsdale Public Art.  This year, there are many installations in 7 cities throughout the Greater Phoenix area.  Each of them will be a stop on the upcoming IN FLUX Multi City Bus Tour on Sat. May, 14th.  Xandriss is scheduled to be a speaker at the Marshall Square stop of the tour.  She will be on location to talk about the mural and answer questions. Tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased online at scottsdalepublicart.org or through the box office at 480-499-TKTS (8587).

Xandriss is a native of Mesa where she lives with her husband, Bruce Cormier, also an artist and their 4 children.
