I was born and raised in Mesa, AZ.  I have lived there most of my life.  I'm 31 years old, a busy mom of two great kids and also a homemaker.

I think everyone should be able to have beautiflul environments with original art to enrich their lives.  I create art because it's a natural extension of who I am.  I'm really being myself when creating something.  I've been drawing most of my life and painting and selling my art since 1999.

I don't like to confine myself to limited techniques, materials, styles or subjects.  If I am wanting to try something new, I do it.  In this way, I allow myself to be truly creative.  For this reason, I have several styles I like to work in.  A favorite is the Single Line Style.

I've worked with this technique for a long time and have ammassed a lot of works within the Single Line Series. The desired image is made up of a single line turning in and around on itself until the object is completely filled in or made up.  In many pieces, the line never crosses over itself. Some of the the totally abstract works do have the line cross on itself.  A lot of the time, the line is kept to the same thickness, but not always.  Some have the line changing colors and others, not. I don't confine myself to a box.  I want to explore all that can done with the line.  In all of them, there is consistency of the line throughout the piece.  The intent, or rule ot the line, in each work is obvious to the viewer.  The subjects have a broad range from representational to wildly abstract.  Many people like to find the two ends of the line.  In the totally abstract pieces, it's quite entertaining to find images within the makeup of the line- like seeing things when looking at clouds.  This is a favorite game for my children.

 Biography
I've been drawing images of things since I was very little.  In the junior high,  I took my first art class.  There was an assignment to draw a picture out of a magazine in a grid format. I worked hard on that for about a week.  When I got the drawing back with the grade (A), the teacher asked if she could enter it into the Maricopa County Fair Drawing Exhibit.  I was astounded.  And even more so when I won the 1st prize. I was 14 years old. And that was my first real art drawing.  (Others prior, were sketches and doodles, mostly on lined school paper.)
I continued doing drawings and took Drawing 1 and 2 at Mesa High School.  I learned so much from Mr. Holmes.  The things he taught about life, passion, and of course, drawing shaped me and helped set me in the right direction.
In 1999,  I did my first painting, The One, of the Single Series.  I was very happy with the result and continued painting in the same series. I began to show the paintings to friends, co-workers and neighbors.  They said I should show them publicly.  So, I started to look for public places to show. I asked the coffee shop next to my job (at the time) if I could be included in the exhibitors on their wall.  They agreed.
In 2002, I was given my first gallery show at The Artery.  I co-exhibited The Undiscovered Country show with another up and coming artist, L. Savage.  It was his first gallery show too.  It had many attendents and was a great success.
I've continued having shows, entering contests, growing in my craft and selling my work since.  In 2009, I developed my website and fan page on facebook.
